In-Person: Weekly Friday mornings 10:00-11:30 AM, come and go anytime.

Masks are welcome, but currently not required. This free drop-in group focuses on supporting breastfeeding/chestfeeding/lactating parents. Come and meet others who are breastfeeding their babies (or working on it)!

If feeding isn't going beautifully for you, you are not alone! Many attendees are experiencing struggles on their feeding journey. You are very welcome to bottle feed, pump, whatever you need to do! We provide a space for mothers to come and be with their babies and meet others, and you're welcome to weigh your baby on our scale. Relax and chat with others about what’s on your mind. Support staff is available to answer any feeding questions with accurate, up-to-date information. Moms and babies can come for as many weeks as they need.  One caveat:  This is not a place to solve big feeding problems.  If you are having a lot of breastfeeding issues, your situation may warrant an individual consult.

We do ask that you not come to Cafe if you or your baby are displaying the following health symptoms:

  • Fever or Chills
  • Severe Muscle or Body Aches
  • Nausea or Vomiting
  • Cough
  • Sore Throat
  • Diarrhea
  • Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing
  • New Loss of Taste or Smell
  • Congestion or Runny Nose

Thank you for helping everyone stay as safe as possible.

NOTE: We are discontinuing the Virtual weekly group sessions. Let us know if you'd like us to start again, and if we get enough interest, we might!

Join us in-person Fridays from 10:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m.
No charge; pre-registration is not required; just come! And tell your friends!
We are located in 2300 Washtenaw, Suite 200, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
There is a sign in front of the building that has our address and our business name at the bottom.
You can park right behind our building. You are going to go down the ramp to our door which is down a bit in the corner of the building. Come through that door to the second glass door.
Both our doors say, "Breastfeeding Center of Ann Arbor".

If you haven’t ever attended our Breastfeeding Cafes, you may be wondering what to expect. In short, they are informal, friendly times of simply hanging out with other moms and babies, sharing tips, and asking any questions you might have. We’ve heard from lots of attendees that the time has helped them not feel isolated, normalize the struggles or challenges they might be experiencing, celebrate how far they’ve come, and just get some mom-to-mom advice and friendship. Check out our podcast episode on the topic to hear more.

So come relax, feed the baby if you’d like, and chat with others about what’s on your mind.
Support staff will be there to answer any basic questions,
and we’ll have our baby scale available if you’d like to keep track of baby’s weight gain.
Or, if it’s more convenient for you to come without the baby, that’s no problem.

One caveat:  The cafes are not a place to solve big breastfeeding problems.
If you are having a lot of breastfeeding issues, or want to dig into your unique situation,
consider an individual breastfeeding consult.

Hope to see you there!

Lindsey S.
