Start Here: Check insurance coverage
Many of our clients are approved for direct insurance billing via The Lactation Network, which means you would have no out-of-pocket cost for at least 3 appointments. Click the button above or go here to enter your insurance info and check if your insurance plan qualifies and for how many appointments.
If your insurance is not approved:
(Or after your TLN-approved appointment limit:) This doesn't mean you have no (more) coverage for lactation services. Instead, you will pay upfront, and we provide you a coded receipt for you to submit as a claim to your insurance for reimbursement request.
Out-of-pocket costs:
- Initial consultation with baby* - $170
- Prenatal appointment - $110
- Follow-up appointments (including milestones) - $110
We can accept FSA/HSA cards for any services.
For clients with PPO insurance plans, a reimbursement rate of 80% of your out of pocket cost seems to be most common. This means your final cost for initial consultation would be $34, follow-ups $22.
Financial Aid: Please reach out if financial limitations would make it difficult for you to cover upfront cost. We are happy to provide financial assistance, so all families can receive quality lactation and feeding support.

Travel fee for in-home visits - Please reach out with your location and to ask about availability. Additional travel fee starts at $80, this is not covered by insurance or FSA/HSA accounts.
*For twins/multiples - Initial consultation cost is $220. For follow-up appointments, we'll discuss if there is an additional fee above $110 based on your needs.
Cancellation/rescheduling fee: $30 if less than 24 hours notice (This is not covered by insurance or The Lactation Network coverage.)
