The Haakaa
The Haakaa is new tool for breastfeeding families and our profession.
The research on this tool does not exist at this point in time. The purpose of these surveys is to get a sense of how and why the Haakaa is actually be used by families and how lactation professionals play into this data.

Gathering information to increase our knowledge in the field of lactation is critical to be able to help families reach their breastfeeding goals. Tools are only useful if we know when and how to use them. This survey will hopefully give us insight as to when these are truly helpful and when they might actually get in the way.
Please share these where ever you can so we can get a large number of responses. This information will be used to help inform us as to the current state of Haakaa use. The data will be used for future conference presentations, be published in a journal, for podcasts, and for training of lactation professionals.
Getting breastfeeding help:
If you are struggling with breastfeeding it is doubtful that the Haakaa is the answer! Sometimes it can be really hard to reach out to others. If you are having trouble with low milk supply, pain, babies not latching, we can help. However, a well trained IBCLC is worth the effort and the money. Getting professional help is always best. Consider contacting us for a private breastfeeding consultation. You don’t have to do it alone!
