Lactation pain is one of the major reasons many mothers discontinue breastfeeding. What can you do to help? Understanding breastfeeding pain, its causes and solutions, are a critical tool for anyone working with mothers and babies. Practice identifying and resolving different types of pain is the main focus here! 6.5 Lactation CERPs will be offered.

Taught by master educator Barbara D. Robertson, MA, IBCLC, RLC

This one day training will provide a strong understanding of common types of lactation pain, pain origins, and possible solutions.

It will cover:

What is it? Common types of lactation pain.

How did we get here? The origin of common breast pain.

What can we do about it? Possible solutions to help resolve lactation pain.

Training date: Saturday May 14th, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM with a one hour lunch break

9:00-10:30-Assessing for lactation pain

10:30-10:45-Break

10:45-12:00-Pain- Is it the mother?

12:00-1:00-Lunch break (Lunch is not provided)

1:00-2:30-Pain-Is it the baby?

2:30-2:45-Break

2:24-5:00-Let’s get over it! Common solutions.
